A memorable day
We started watching the coverage of the Queen’s funeral just before the service in Westminster Abbey. It was mesmerising.
I thought that the organisation was superb.
The rhythmic banging of the drums became a background to the day. I have no idea how the drummers did it, or those young pall bearers, or the pipers, and so on and so on.
The services were both dignified and meaningful.
Mum still needs a lot of help, but she managed to eat more today. I popped out to Wall Village to deliver a condolence card to Sharon, whose uncle has died. On my way back to the car, I spotted the two flags at half mast.
A poignant moment.
