Skye

Today we drove from Oban to Skye.  We had lunch in Portree, took a rest, and then drove a loop around this extraordinary island.  We returned to Portree for dinner and an overnight at a B&B that we had stayed at the last time we were here, 7 years ago.

Last night on the ferry from Colonsay to Oban, there was a ‘moment of silence’ for the Queen, signified by two blasts of the ship’s horn.  In one of the extras, I caught a man outside an Oban coffee shop reading a story about the funeral.  The other extra is a shot of a street in Portree, taken tonight.
