in the community garden

while i was - trying to find - a good photo - and my ears - perked up, i - swiveled around to - see several, (what i - thought were american - gold finches) hanging out - in a nearby - tree, so i very - carefully began to creep - that way to - get close enough - my experience has been - that they are fast - and not receptive - to the camera

but this time - they indulged me - staying perched for - a few moments - engaged in song - while i managed - to snap off - several decent shots - of that gorgeous yellow - against a blue - sky; other than - a slight crop - no edits done - so we can - claim it as…
