Good day skiing at Cervinia and Zermatt today. The last wahoo of the year. Endured everything - punishing beautiful sunny skies, snow, sleet and rain.... Wonderful morning on the Swiss side before coming back to the Italian side to have a proper lunch and lazy afternoon.

The resorts are getting ready for the Mezzalama ski Marathon race this weekend - an alpine race from Cervinia to Gressoney. So, after some nice new snow in the last few days, they were setting off avalanches with a helicopter and bombs. By the way, they had closed off the slope.
