Kingcups
What a glorious day, mowed the lawn, sat outside to do some work in the sunshine, and went for a great walk, before some more work in/outdoors!
During the walk I came across some cowslips, which I thought would be my blip photo of the day, but the bright yellow of these kingcups by the lakeside and the blue of the sky above just made this one better.
Only problem with it, is that I have also managed to make it a great lake for waterskiers, as it does slightly downhill! Didn't want to edit the photo though so here it is 'warts hill and all'.
There are some things in our lives which are not perfect and probably never will be, but we have the choice either to dwell on these and spend a lot of effort improving, or of focusing on the things we do well and improving those so the are even better. The things we do well are usually things we enjoy doing and which energise us. If we focus on the things we are not good at we will often get worn down and demoralised.
So I am going to continue with the things I am good at and enjoy, even if that means I put a bit of a slant on life sometimes, and live in the strengths God has given me.
