Talyllyn Railway

We had a great time travelling on the Talyllyn Railway. By accident we met up with a couple of folks from our walks around Trentham Gardens. They volunteer on the railway and regularly visit Tywyn. They were having a day off from volunteering and were having a breakfast before riding the train and then going for a walk. So we joined them on the train to Nant Gwernol which is the end of the line. 

We had a few false starts on our walk and the vegetation was a bit dense and tough. So we decided to give up and return to the station. We should have ended up at Dolgoch Falls and caught the train back from there. But we ended up walking to Abergynolwyn and catching the last train back.

If you're ever in this area o Wales I highly recommend a trip on this preserved railway. The volunteers are fantastic and the views from the train are wonderful.

We did manage to catch a sunset this evening though.
