We headed out for a morning pre-funeral walk - saw lots of dogs, stopped at the BP on the way home to get a coffee as nowhere else was open.
We watched the ceremony with a cuppa and then both had a brief snooze to the rhythmic marching.
I headed back to Bristol in the afternoon and what a schlep. There were no trains between Paddington and Reading, so everyone travelling between London and/or Windsor were crammed onto the Waterloo line. I missed one connection, and then nearly another, and then had to get off the next one to run along the platform when they told us we had to be in the front 5 coaches. This was the queue of people heading towards London (it was about twice as long again in both directions), so I’m very glad I wasn’t going in that direction.
Finally made it home to a lovely dinner a la Matt and fell asleep in front of an episode of West Wing.
