Sharing

Today was the first day that И and I have properly shared the office. We were both working, and we had to accommodate my two meetings. For the first И went out to see another just-finished PhD student, but she stayed when two undergraduates came for their first supervision meeting. Since И knows more than me about two things that were discussed, she could contribute, and it broke up the slightly intense atmosphere that can build up when I get enthusiastic and "go on too long". The fact that she's about their age and friendly also helped. We also had a brief visit from K, who picked up a letter that had arrived for her.

Afterwards I went home, finished yesterday's risotto and visited Mum with Django.
