Foodie Day

We were up and out early…off to St Ives. There was no sign of the man with seven wives, he was probably chasing after all those cats! Anyway, we had a good wander round and then had a Cornish pasty….then real Cornish ice cream.

We drove on to Porthtowan Beach where we basked in the glorious sunshine and swam in the sea. We had a Cornish cider before going on to Perranporth Beach.

We walked all round the beach and worked up a thirst so we had another cheeky cider at the beach cafe. It was so lovely watching the sun go down.

We stopped in Newlyn on the way home for a lovely meal at the Mackerel Sky Bar…scallops, crab tortillas, calamari and mussels.

It was a great day and the weather was amazing…let’s hope it continues.
