Bit of bling

Discarded and broken bits of costume jewellery from the charity shop are given to me to pass on to a local 'crafting' group and school art teacher.  The latter gives them to her pupils to make fabulous face masks etc. It means that nothing is wasted and beautiful objects are made with what would just be thrown away.
Was at the charity shop all morning as once again I was on my own sorting books and we were inundated with donations.  It meant I didn't make it to our local U3A celebrating an anniversary, but best made plans etc!
Just spoke to a friend who went for a pre-op examination for cataract operation and they had a cancellation so she is having it carried out on Friday.  Excellent NHS service.
