The Doolittles
Anxious to start the new books we had purchased we headed upstairs early last night @ 0830pm. MrsP flicked on the outside light to take one last glimpse. There, on the patio was a possum and a skunk searching for nuts and seeds. Suddenly, there were three when a gray fox joined in. They were all within a foot of each other scrounging for food in the same area. No one was bothered in the least by the other two. It was a remarkable sight, and the first time either of us have ever seen a possum! • Surely there must be a joke about a skunk, a fox and a possum walking into a bar? • The feeders were busy with nuthatches, chickadees, house finches and bluejays this morning, but the goldfinches outnumbered them all. Lots of fledglings learning their way around • It was great to see and feel the sunshine today! I picked cucamelons, deadheaded, and bird watched :) • Hope you had a joy filled day!
