Bee on Penstemon

Flu jabs late morning meant I didn’t get to the butterfly house today, but one of the volunteers posted a wonderful video of the many butterflies in flight - it was just magical. I’m in again on Friday to host a school visit and then Saturday for another shift. Only a few more days of public opening but we are trying to see if we can do some more days as we have so many butterflies now. It’s tricky to get enough volunteers some days though. 

Spent the rest of the day in the garden digging up geraniums, planting more seeds and  sieving compost. We still have some colour in the back garden with a few dahlias in pots, rudbeckia, cosmos, zinnias and these penstemons have been going for months. I’ve enjoyed them a lot and so have the bees :)
