Cone Flower ( Echinacea )

Another of our periodic garden centre visits, this time to Dobbies Orton Grange Dalston.  As usual, Kanyl came with us.  Thankfully they haven't yet screened off about 1/3 of the interior to prepare for Christmas.  Why do garden centres reduce their sales area by so much for a quarter of the year?

The number of plants in flower was greatly reduced but there was still lots of colour and plants to shoot.  I settled for this Echinacea.  One of Clickychick's favourites.  Native to the American prairies there are 10 species known as Cone Flowers.  As you might guess from looking at it it is a member of the Daisy family
