Experiment...

We have an air conditioner/air source heat pump in the Conservatory.  We try not to run it too much when we don't need it, but at the same time we don't want a frost forming inside in winter, or it getting so hot it melts the candles on the dining table in summer.  Both of these have happened in the past!

With energy costs as they are, and energy scarcity an issue, I felt it was time to see if we could find a more efficient way of preventing extreme temperature with something slightly more sophisticated than the simple timer it came with.

This "Sensibo" claims to do exactly that, with some "Climate React" programming options that will activate the unit to prevent extremes, so you only need to set the timer for when you actually want to use the room...

We'll see if it works.

It's already trying to sell me a monthly subscription for premium features - many of which clearly have zero additional cost to deliver.  I find that a bit of a cheek.  I don't mind paying for premium services if they need cloud storage or processing, but I object to hardware I've paid good cash up front for having featured hobbled unless I pay a ransom...
