Willow no moar

Today this nice man with a chainsaw came and removed the Kilmarnock willow that has been growing in out front garden for the past 25 years. It was at the stage where it was hanging over the pavement so much and trimming it just exposed more lethal wood so it had to go.
Thinking now of getting rid of the remaining roots and putting down chuckies on top of thick polythene.
That's my kind of garden!

It really has brightened up our whole view.
