Animal Adventure ...

... Park.

After a scrumptious breakfast with way too many calories we got ready to hit the road home.  One the main reasons I wanted to stay in Bainbridge, NY instead of Norwich was because my childhood friend and her family are from here.  After checking out of the B&B we took a little ride past all the houses when they either lived or still live.  Unfortunately, I've fallen out touch with L so I really have no idea if any of them still live in these houses.

We knew before going to New York that there is a wild animal park on the drive home so we made plans to stop there on the way home today. My collage above shows just a small sampling of the animals at the park.  And a very small sampling of the photos I took whilst there!  The lower right photo was taken through glass into a very dark space.  This shows one of the things you can do at the park for a little extra money(she says sarcastically!)  ... a sloth encounter!  We did not do this as the little extra money was $125!  But this woman seems to enjoying the encounter.  The beautiful lion is a Timbavati White Lion ... they are not albino but are very rare. There are less than 20 white lions in the wild and only a few hundred in captivity.

We were at the animal park for about an hour and a half before leaving for home.  We knew we would have some hungry cats waiting for us at home!

I've added to the Extra photos a collage of the B&B ... Bainbridge House. She had it decorated so cutely for Halloween already.  It makes we wonder how it looks at Christmas.  The upper left picture is of Thomas ... the resident cat.  He had the best ear tuffs I've ever seen! But he wouldn't sit still long enough to get a decent photo.

We stopped at Sam's Club on the way home hoping to pick up a rotisserie chicken for supper.  Unfortunately they were out of chickens so I made pizza for instead.

Backblipped: September 22 ... catching up.
