Stunning Scalpay

We woke up to sunshine today which was nice. :) First off we visited the blackhouse crofting village of Na Gearrannan to see the houses which were restored how they would have been. There was also a traditional Harris tweed weaver with his loom. We then headed south, leaving Lewis and heading down to Harris for the next 4 nights. We travelled independently of the group so we were able to stop and savour some of the stunning views. This afternoon we headed to Scalpay island and did a super walk over very boggy ground to reach the highest point on the island with lovely views over to Skye. Then down to Eileen Glas lighthouse for a well earned drink. 18:800 steps 7.5 miles
