WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

UNO

Sabrina and I went to the Forte shopping centre today. I only bought some Faber- Castell Ink Pens from TK Maxx.
When Amelia and Lucy came home from school Lucy wanted to play games so I played Dobble with her and Shopping Trolley then later when Amelia had had a wee rest she played UNO with Lucy.
Lucy is such a little bossy boots when she teaches me to play a game I don’t know very well ;-D))

I’ve had quite a chilled out day, writing and reading the paper.
It’s been a stressful few days so I needed a rest.

Autumn has come Early

Autumn is early this year
Leaves lie faded on the ground
Untouched yet by the frost
They float gently and slowly down.

The weather is being kind round here
The sun still shines all day
And sometimes in the night it rains
But we need that anyway.

Soon the frost will turn the leaves
From pale hues to bronze and gold
But till then I’ll enjoy this Season
Before the year grows old.

Away with Stigma!

I like to think I’m honest and open
about things that go on in my life,
even talking about personal issues
and taboos that cause me strife.

If we keep our worries a secret
hidden from family and friends
we suffer alone in silence
fearing the problem might offend.

I wear my heart upon my sleeve,
though I wasn’t always so brave.
I thought I was the only one
with problems that seemed so grave.

But when I spoke to other people
giving them the chance to speak free,
I soon realised I was not alone,
many people have issues like me.

We need to abolish the stigmas that
weigh families and loved ones down,
lift those heavy black clouds
that make us stress and frown.

I’ve made friends with many people
who I feel would never have spoken
of their secrets or personal worries
but now their silence is broken.

Marc is getting on a bit better now. We got a few things sorted yesterday.
At the housing office we got his rent sorted out, I accompanied him to the new GPs so he could register with them, and I went with him to the appt with his key worker. She is excellent. He was supposed to be transferred to a new key worker because of changing GP but she said she will keep him on because the change would stress him out too much. Today his household goods were delivered and the council measured up his flat for carpets and lino. He’s been waiting 3 months for all this to happen. No wonder he was stressed.

Goodnight Blippers and thanks for the lovely comments, stars and hearts.
I hope normal service will now be resumed! ;-)X
