A Handbag????

I broke the strap on my favourite handbag today.   I'm unhappy about it.  Very unhappy. 

I parked my car in a parking bay and when I returned a man had parked behind me and was walking away blocking me in.  I caught him and said I need to get out.  He came back to his car, as I passed it, he flung the door open catching the strap on my bag and it snapped in half.  

I'm sure I can get it repaired, maybe stitched or shortened and stitched but what a pain.
