The favourite?

I have a feeling that, if people were asked to choose their favourite Banksia out of the 75 or so species, Scarlet Banksia might well be the winner. I photographed Banksia coccinea today in the Stirling Ranges.

Nearby, with ‘drumstick’ type flower shoots, I found the grasstree Kingia australis with the peak of Mt Toolbrunup in the distance - shown in the extra.
