Burg Eltz

The plan was to go with Peter, in our tents, to the National Park De Hoge Veluwe, to see the red deer again. It's the rutting season, and just like previous years we wanted to experience it all again. This time during a whole weekend.
But, the weather forecast was really bad.

Therefore I suggested to Peter yesterday to go somewhere else, with better weather. And thus, we ended up in Germany today, near the river Mosel, at Eltz Castle. A castle that's been on my wish lishg for a long time.

We left Delfzijl around 13:00 hours and after a ride of 430 km in very heavy traffic and a break with the obligatory Curry Wurst, we arrived just minutes before sunset, around 19:30 at the castle.

We're in for a very nice weekend I think. Im happy with these results already. See another one of the castle in the extra section.
