Oh There's Cake...

This morning at Sandgate parkrun one of the junior runners celebrated her 50th parkrun... The family supplied not 1 but 2 cakes... In the parkrun briefing her mother got up and thanked the runners and the running community for their support and allowing her daughter to feel comfortable and just get out there and run... She has some learning difficulties but boy she can run... This year she's stepped out of her comfort zone of parkrun and actually participated in the 10km Sunshine Coast Marathon Festival (which I was lucky enough to photograph her) and she also completed the 10km Bridge to Brisbane event...
She loves colours hence the rainbow and she's easy to spot because she wears long brightly coloured socks, colourful clothes and usually colour in her hair...
