The Big Moon

A lift into town with Nick for another chance to look through the exhibition. Lunch at Em’s with Kerry - salad freshly picked. Then it’s off to Glasgow (via Craigdon to get a rucsac for Kerry).

We check into The Glasgow House, put ourselves on the Paesano waiting list, and have a swift half at The Bakehouse over the road.

I have the anchovy, olive and capers pizza, while Kerry opts for the mozzarella and ricotta white pizza (without the mushrooms). We both order a negroni to go with it.

The left overs get dropped back at our room and we hurry over to Oran Mor for the gig. Gently Tender are wrapping up their warm up set (their lineup includes the keyboard/bassist from The Big Moon) and we get a front of house position for the main event.

What a gig. It was high energy, high entertainment, and their rock mojo was excellent. I can’t wait for their new album which is coming out on October 14th - although I’ll be surprised if their paper-based pre-order system actually works.

A walk in the chilly Glasgow air. A nightcap at the Inn Deep on the Kelvin. Time for bed.
