Cup Game

With the mantra of "Take it easy and let your body recover" ringing in my ears, I decided to give the Saturday morning swim a miss and head down to see the church footie team in action.

Newly formed this season there has been an uncomfortable pattern to their first few games. 

Generally by half time the game is close....1 - 0 or 1 - 1. But by full time the opposition have given them a right old pasting!!

and today the script was followed. After leading 1 - 0 at half time they conceded goals fairly quickly in the second half and the final result was 3 - 1 to Carrubers. So an improvement on recent weeks but still a defeat!!

Watching from the sidelines is not good for me. 

My "28 year old self" is telling me to get my boots on and get out there!! 

My nearly to be 54 year old body usually replies with "Yer having a laugh"!!!
