Going home mk II

A new alernator has been fitted but the mechanic says it is still not charging. Lengthy phonre calls to the people in England who had fitted various extraneous and complicated bits and pieces and DS#1 thinks he might have a solution so off we set at 4pm.
Much fiddling around under the bonnet later, including cutting osme wires, and to everyone's surprise the car started and appeared to be working. Off they bravely set at 7pm into the gloom heading for London.with a bit of trepidation on their faces. Fingers crossed.
