New Growth

I'm really amazed by this new flush of growth on my little 'butterfly' acer. It lost most of its leaves due to the heat over the summer, but it bounced back with far more leaf growth than it had in spring. There are lots more buds elsewhere on the plant as well!

It's not the only one of my acers and other plants to put out new growth, but I think it wins the prize for vigour.

(I've given it a bit of a vintage treatment in snapseed, btw!)
