I was at the Wayword Festival today and saw the deaf poet Raymond Antrobus. He read some of his poems and then answered some questions.
Those sentences do not do the evening justice at all. I am always in awe of people who can use language and words so well and it really was a tremendous experience hearing him. He painted pictures of people from a Deaf black man shot by the police in New York to people in the village of Antrobus in rural England and people from his own life. 
I really was so glad I took the opportunity of going to see him and got one of his books as well which he signed.
