TSB clock

I joined some former colleagues for lunch in Stockbridge (original meaning: wooden bridge from “Stock Brig”).

The stone version was built in 1801 when the area was being developed by Henry Raeburn and James Milne. The original “Madame Doubtfire” lived there running a second hand clothes shop, her name being used first for the novel and then the film.

It was one of these beautiful sunny September days. Very light wind; warm in the sun; a hint of coolness in the shade.

The clock tower was built in 1900 and the building was originally part of the TSB bank. Now a pizza restaurant..

A good catch up then home to cut the grass.
