Bondi Pavilion

The pavilion re-opened this week after a massive revamp. I tried to fit the frontage in to one shot but it was a hyphen in a sea of sky and concrete. The bar, theatre, art gallery, function rooms, courtyards, change rooms and toilets have all had a makeover. 

The restoration revealed 1920s murals - and the short-lived Turkish baths - but I couldn’t find either today. This courtyard mural is more recent. A Coke can, obscured by a palm, is half-buried in the sand.
