The forecast was right.
We left home at midnight on Saturday to drive to Edinburgh Airport, and got to Naples about 10.30am.
Our driver eventually found us in the airport after Captainbob WhatsApp him a photo of me in my raincoat. The sign he was holding up contained a series of what appeared to be random words. Not our name, our hosts name, or the address of our apartment :))
Our host met us armed with a large tartan trimmed umbrella and quickly introduced 'Mr Roberto' to all the local restaurateurs. Everything is literally on our doorstep, after we negotiate the large number of stairs. We're staying in the oldest building in the village and it's absolutely beautiful!
Who cares if it's raining. There's prosecco and limoncello, made by Antonio's Mother, in the fridge.
And the owner's wife is a wedding planner - we've already connected!! :)
