Cuckoo Pint
- although it has a host of alternate names, including Lords and Ladies, Adam and Eve, Cows and bulls.
A very toxic plant usually found in the forests of Eurasia.
I spotted it while walking on the forest trail at Kellie Castle (Extra).
It was a lovely sunny morning so we parked at Hamilton Wood and walked through until we got to the fields, then we made our way across three fields, and up a farm track, across the road and up to Kellie Castle. Originally built in the 14century then added to for over three hundred years. It is now run by The National Trust. We sat in the courtyard and had a cuppa and cake, then made our way home again.
The weather changed by the afternoon becoming grey and overcast with more wind, so it’s now becoming a bit chilly indoors.
I’ve added a sneaky extra that son, Don, has just sent me of my granddaughter, Bonnie, at 17 months sitting totally engrossed with her wee friend Francesca at the cinema.
