A Lick of Paint

It's a bit of a record shot today as M and I have had our head in a tin of paint all day.  We have a summerhouse and 2 sheds all of which are painted green and cream.  We managed to apply all the green paint a couple of weeks ago but a family wedding and a lot of unpredictable rain showers have meant that we didn't tackle the cream colour until today.

After a light sanding the paint needs to have the second of the two coats applied no more than 8 hours after the first coat.  So, a dry day is needed to allow time to apply both.  Otherwise, the instructions state that one has to sand again between coats if more than 8 hours have elapsed (which is way too much like hard work).  I'm afraid we were rather unsociable and used the electric sander early this morning but we did wait until nearly 9am, nevertheless I hope none of our neighbours wanted a lie-in.  

Unfortunately, although we have painted the door and window frames, the doors actually need replacing but that's a job too far this year, hopefully the new paint will ensure that they don't fall apart before new ones are purchased in 2023.
