Autumn Colours

A bit of an experimental blip today…this shot was taken outside, in bright sunshine, with a flash unit hand held to the side of the camera. I set a very high shutter speed to eliminate all ambient light..and the burst of light is just on the leaves and not on the hedge behind! No need for a black card behind the leaves to create this.

Our daughter, husband and the granddaughters came to visit today. I cooked lunch outside on the barbecue - it was a tad chilly, but at least we ate indoors. The flapjack that I made yesterday went down well.

They did bring me a couple of belated birthday presents…including a monster 3000 piece jigsaw..which measures approx 48x36 inches!! That may take us a while to complete.
