fire bugs

Took the S and U Bahn out to Tegel to check out the Dicke Marie (see extra). The Dicke Marie is an old oak, estimated to be over 800 years old. Tegel is a nice place and we very much enjoyed a walk along the shore and through the woods. Found some interesting fungi and lots and lots of fire bugs. U Bahn back into town to Prentzlauer Berg where we stopped for a beer in the Prater Beer Garden. This part of Berlin is very different from where we usually hang out, very busy and hip. I must admit I prefer the area where we currently live.
