Stockbridge War Memorial

Doors Open Day today. 

Our final visit of the afternoon was to Stockbridge Parish Church where there is a beautiful memorial mural in the apse, commissioned in the 1980s, and painted by German-born artist, Reinhard Behrens, depicting the Lothian coastline at various times from sunrise to sunset. In front of the mural is the memorial table with the names of local men who died during the First World War.
