Spirit of the 50s

I finished my latest jigsaw today, thank goodness women’s place in society changed from that depicted here from the 50’s (well it was 70 years ago). Two lots of holiday washing done, dried outside and ironed. I’m feeling slightly better today so managed an hour of weeding and grass mowing - I’ve never seen so many weeds growing as produced in the last two weeks.

This afternoon I watched the tennis, with Team World winning the Laver Cup for the first time (it’s the Ryder Cup of the tennis world). Quite ironic given it was ‘created’ by Roger Federer and it was his last ATP event, that Team Europe unexpectedly lost. Team World was young and inspired and seemed more hungry for the win.
