The Allendale Wolf

On December 10th 1904 the local newspaper the 'Hexham Courant.'  ran a headline "Wolf at large in Allendale." Local farmers had livestock attacked. The wolf was never found. However the legend of the Allendale Wolf is re-created by local people and the wolf is burned every year. A great experience.  I was given access to record the event, thanks to the organisers.
