Ashness Fell on the Second Day of Spring 2013
The 5th day of our photographic holiday in the Lake District and who could believe that the 2nd day of spring would bring so much snow less than 24 hours after a beautiful day full of sunshine. With Ashness Bridge behind me and The Bark House Base Camp (1964) on the left this view up to Ashness Fell was one of several attempts. The wind was quite strong and blowing the falling snow onto the lens so keeing it dry was not easy.
