Horse power

I was helping to run an activity at the Eco Schools day at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm today. It turned out to be the warmest day of the year so far and it was very fine being outside on the farm instead of stuck in the office. As well as the official duties for the event (which involved helping the kids to make things out of old bike inner tubes) I had time to have a wander round to see the piglets, ducklings, chicks, geese, donkey, lambs and also these two big friendly horses (called Joe and Charlie) who were pulling the plough across a dusty field.
