Rain
Rain was expected ......but the day was dry. Brekky at the Fairy Wren Cafe was very yummy and unbusy ......then down to the river for a bit of red dust and log walking. Dwellingup Forest Heritage Centre .....all about gorgeous wood! but with a rather high treetop platform which Scott had to escort/make me/help me up .....how kind you would think? .... not!! as much to my horror - he started to wobble the top platform!! ..... he did help me back down though! Back to camp which we had all to ourselves as there was a storm a 'coming!! Scrabble (beaten by the boys!) cards, cheese and biccys, vino, proper food! then it all went very still .... luckily we had brought a tarp which we strung up between a few trees with the help of the little people being on big peoples shoulders - a fine balancing act! ....just in time as the thunder & lightening came in, followed by 40 mm of rain in a very short time! The boys rugged up and went to bed whilst Dave and me stayed up and took turns poking pools of water out of the tarp with the blunt end of the spare tent poles!! What fun! The fire held out and when there was a break and you could see the stars again, we sat by the fire and had yet another vino! Oh what fun we had! then the rain started again ...... bedx
