Distraught

Xander was very distressed this morning and was crying that his tummy was sore. Its always on a Monday he tries to get out of going to school.  I know the reason behind it and have tried to explain to him that he can't stay off. But today I did believe he had a sore tummy.  Not from a bug but from being anxious.  I kept him at home and made him do school work.

It did mean that Carson missed out on his last playgroup for a while.

I had a lovely surprise from my friend.  We had been talking last week about my huge feet ( size 9 ) and how I struggle to find any decent wellies to fit that aren't mens ones. And this morning she popped round with a wonderful gift. Look how lovely they are.

Grandad has ended up at our local hospital.  The eye that has had two operations on suddenly started to lose sight. His retina has detached again.  Our local hospital is huge and it doesn't have the right kind of specialist for a lot of things. So nana and grandad have been sitting up at our hospital most of the afternoon and have now been told that he has to go to Glasgow tomorrow to get another operation either tomorrow or Wednesday.  I feel so bad for him.

I've said to Mr R that if I have too then I can go and stay in Glasgow on Sunday myself and get to the hospital for my operation on Monday.  We need to come up with some kind of idea....
