A bit of a blur today

A bit of a blur having taken my son, his wife and baby Scarlett to the airport this morning. I didn't think I'd be outwardly emotional but a few tears did fall. I sat with Scarlett all yesterday evening while they packed and again this morning and I felt so so close.

Anyway I drove back home through Burnham Beeches - we live on the edge of this wood in the UK. They are mentioned in Macbeth and are one of the oldest woods in the country. Robin Hood films have been shot here. And they are just bursting into that beautiful lime green life.

So another road opens up to the future. Where will this one lead - certainly in part to Washington DC to see my lovely family
