Be Prepared

It worked when I was in the Scouts, 1950's and 60's, and still works today. Be Prepared is their motto, I presume it still is.
Saturday is a ride, along with about 6,000 other bikes, to the National Memorial Arboretum for a memorial service. It happens every first Saturday in October.
Bikes will be converging from all corners of the UK, and we usually have a few riders coming from Poland, Holland and Belgium. A nice ride out for them I guess HAHAHAHAHAHA
Fuel topped right up to the top, 1L fuel bottle filled (just in case), tyre pressures checked, electrics checked, steering checked (to make sure no cables or pipes are restricted), check for any loose bits and pieces on the bike, and finally fitting the flags (RAF Ensign and 'Lest We Forget' flags).
Just as I finished it started to rain, and it looks like Saturday will be raining all day long. Be Prepared - take extra gloves and waterproofs, nothing worse than being wet on a bike, it makes you very, very, cold!
