Day's eye

Having spent yesterday looking up, I thought I'd do the opposite today. I know these are weeds really, but I still think they're rather lovely.

The children pick me many many of them, that they proudly present with variations of a phrase Little G was taught at pre-school around the time of Mother's day : "this is to say thank you for all the lovely things you do for us". Which is very sweet. I made the mistake once of asking what these lovely things were... Essentially it boiled down to "letting us watch telly and making us cakes". I haven't asked since! ;0)
