Fed-up

I've been on Jury Duty for the whole of September.  The first call resulted in a 2-day trial which was relatively easy and not confrontational; the second call was a much longer trial, rather more confronting, but was declared a mistrial on the second day.  

The third call was this afternoon, and was a complete fizzer.  After calling the trial as a matter of urgency, they decided they weren't quite ready and we were all sent home again.

That's not such an issue for me - ok, so it was a couple of hours out of my day, but at least two prospective jurors had to travel about 85 km, and the travel allowance really isn't enough to cover all the petrol costs.

So annoying.

The good news is that the month is all but over, and I really don't think we'll be called again.
