Autumn Still Life

I went out looking for a blip, although that is rather contrary to the ethos of Blip to take a picture that reflects one's day (rather than shape it), but I did also fancy a bit of fresh air and a change of scene. Bowood will close in a month or so and I suspect the car park will not be available to take advantage of the short cut to the public footpath from then until Spring, so I wanted to use it while I could. There were plenty of conkers on the ground so I arranged a couple on top of fence posts and took a few shots. A few people were playing golf and there were several walkers on the footpath that led beside some bracken.

When Cerys Matthews played this on her show it had to my choice for the day. It comes from a release from the Sandy Denny Estate entitled The Notes And The Words: A Collection Of Demos And Rarities and was written by her then-boyfriend Jackson C Frank. I have previously posted versions by Jackson C Frank, Simon and Garfunkel, Nick Drake, Headless Heroes, Laura Marling (two versions), Bert Jansch and John Renbourne, so am pleased to add this one.
