Lewis

Our ferry crossing last night was really rough and I was so relieved when we finally arrived.   Today we were joined by a guide who showed us around Lewis and gave us a bit of an insight into life on the island.  We visited Callanish (apparently there are 8 stone circles with the name Callanish - Callanish 1 to Callanish 8). My blip is of the famous one.   I have never thought of a stone circle as being beautiful before but the shapes, textures and colours of the stones were beautiful.   We also visited Gearrannan Blackhouse Village (in extras) and Dun Carloway Broch.  In the afternoon we went to the Butt of Lewis and Ness.  A great day!  I am really for my tea now.
