Bippety boppety boo

Lovely time at baby and toddler group with Arwen this morning. Shes becoming more interactive with other babies and initiating contact. She then slept all afternoon, giving me time to spend with Ophelia when she got back from preschool. Ophi decided she would like to watch a Cinderella DVD and eat lots of popcorn, which we duly did. I also spent a little while in the kitchen finding ways to use up the leftover caramel from some cupcakes we'd made a few days ago. I iced a cake with the same frosting as the cupcakes but still had lots left so decided upon a banoffee pie. However there were no digestive biscuits left in the biscuit tin for the base, just a variety of broken biscuit pieces. So I improvised and the base contains mostly whizzed up custard creams with a couple of broken party rings and pink wafers thrown in for good measure. It gave the base a vanilla taste so I also added vanilla to the whipped cream and I think it made for a nice combination.
Grace was away all day with her class at Allen Banks doing outdoor learning, where she apparently built a rather impressive Boggart house complete with indoor toilet.
After school it was the weekly trip to Grace's swimming lesson so she will be very tired this evening. Another busy day ahead tomorrow.
I'm a third of the way through the year of uninterrupted blips yay!
