A little bit of fun(gus)

Lots of little jobs to do, including looking after two dogs, although that job was halved when the lovely Lucy went back home. Another little job turned into a bigger than expected job when I decided to harvest and poach the peaches growing on the table end of the house. They won’t ripen any more now that the weather has turned much cooler. I decided to chop them up and poach them in a sugar syrup then freeze them. This worked well a couple of years ago when I had the first successful crop. What I hadn’t realised was the size of the crop this year……I picked over thirty peaches!
