Lemon Tree's New Home
Since I was apparently suffering from a mild form of 'Covid brain' after getting a booster yesterday, I am posting a picture of the lemon tree in its new home next to the fig tree where we can keep an eye on it from our bedroom door. It has been well pruned so that it actually looks like a tree and not a bush leaning longingly toward the light. This should also help it adjust to its new location. I put a picture of it as it was waiting to be moved in extras. And I really did it this time.
John had a plan to fill the hole with dirt from the dirt pile next door, but after one trip with a load of rock laden dirt, and after concluding that 35 such loads would be needed, it wasn't too difficult to persuade him to call on Pedro and his guys again. I think I have a book on Zen gardens somewhere....
I devoted quite a bit of time to the quilt today. The red triangles are ready to be picked up from the quilter and I may have a new commission from a neighbor. It will be awhile before I make another quilt with so many two and a half inch squares again. It takes forever to assemble them.
I was still feeling a bit loopy this morning and questioning my ability to drive, but I'm now feeling more or less back to normal (whatever that is) so I won't need a chauffeur to take me to the dermatologist. It's a good thing not much has happened today because I'm posting early in order to get to a 3:50pm appointment. Doesn't bode well for the waiting time but maybe the husband is more punctual than my usual doctor who tends to be a bit chatty....not a bad quality in a doctor these days....
